Ikebana / Maria Domenica Castrì In May 2013, in occasion of Cantine Aperte, the leading event of the Wine Tourism Movement, Maria Domenica Castrì, Master of the Tokyo Sogetsu School, has realized in the Guarini Winery in Scorrano an original demonstration of Ikebana, an ancient floral art from Japan, with the theme of the vine and the wine.

We carry on with the section "History & Territory" of the Guarini Wine Journey. After having told you about the descent of the Hauteville in Puglia during the Eleventh century and the County of Lecce with Tancred of Hauteville, who founded a new monastery of Benedictine monks in Lecce, in whose constitution act dated 1180 appear the Bishop Pietro Guarino and Accardo, owner of a vineyard granted to the monastery, we move to the age of the family Orsini del Balzo, princes of Taranto, between the end of '300 and the first half of '400.

FAAD / Tavole ad Arte - Art Tables The winery Duca Carlo Guarini housed an unusual setting up last May 29, in a Food and Wine Design key, during Cantine Aperte, the peak event of the Wine Tourism Movement. The places of the wine have welcomed "Tavole ad Arte", art tables, a project promoted by FAAD, a collective that brings together the most interesting productions in the field of Photography, Art, Crafts and Design in Puglia, led by the architect Silvana Inguscio.
